Seasoned professional with advanced level accounting experience to handle all facets of financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for development, coordination and administration of the facility’s accounting, insurance, data processing, and internal controls & auditing.
You will also be responsible for maintenance of financial records and procedures to adequately safeguard the facility’s assets.
BA/BS, 7+ years accounting experience, (5 years in high level management or supervisory, preferably in healthcare) required. Proficiency in ADL or similar software essential. Master’s/CPA strongly preferred.

Island Nursing and Rehab Center’s Family Council is comprised of the family/friends of Long Term Care Residents who take an active role in voicing their concerns and advocate for the residents. The purpose of the Family Council is to advocate and improve the quality of life at the nursing home by providing the families a platform to voice concerns and participate in the decision making process. The Family Council serves as a forum where families/friends can connect with one another for support, learning and advocacy. These meetings are attended by the Administrator/CEO, Assistant Administrator, Director of Nursing, Director of Social Work, Director of Recreation and other departments as needed. The meetings are held monthly, except for the summer months, and speakers are invited to inform the participants about pertinent topics that affect the daily activities of the residents. The meetings are held in the Therapeutic Recreation Room and announcements are posted in the elevators. A Volunteer at Island can work in a variety of roles, and we will work together to find the match that’s just right for you. Some of the opportunities that are available are:
- Assisting Therapeutic Recreation during activities including socials, special events, sports and of course- Bingo.
- Assisting Therapeutic Recreation on Community Outings to such locations as Atlantis Marine World, Applebee’s and the Movies!
- Escorting residents to and from Therapeutic Recreation activities, Rehabilitation and the Beauty Parlor.
- Visiting residents one-on-one for social companionship where you can chat, assist with letter writing, reminisce, do manicures with the ladies and so much more!
- Clerical and administrative roles are available as well.

- Receive a PPD (Tuberculosis Test) provided by the facility.
